Ageing skin isn’t just about the lines and wrinkles we incur as we age but also the noticeable discolouration of our skin through various factors, such as sun damage, including pigmentation and sunspots. Vascular outbreaks and areas of redness are also common. Most people get these around the nose and cheeks as they age.

IPL predominantly targets blood vessels, delivering sufficient energy to thermo-coagulate the entire vessel whilst causing minimal damage to the surrounding skin. Following treatment, the damaged vessels are absorbed by the body, and there is little or no trace of the initial lesion. Therefore, IPL does not cause blood clots.

Melanin, our natural skin pigment, is also affected similarly. Therefore, areas of high melanin concentration, such as those occurring in a freckle or an age spot, will readily absorb IPL to be heated and destroyed. Following treatment, the treated area generally darkens and forms a thin micro-crust, peeling off within a week or so to leave the treated area without excess pigmentation.

Our 3Juve IPL Technology targets, heats, destroys and erases pigmentations and vascular outbreaks to give a flawless, ‘airbrushed-like’ and more even skin tone. In addition, a reduction in pore size, improved skin texture, and increased luminosity result in a smoother, more youthful skin complexion.
