Thread Veins

Telangiectases (or thread veins) are small dilated blood vessels. They can occur on the legs and are also commonly seen on the face, especially around the cheeks and nose of adults with fair skin.

A spider vein characteristically has a central red papule with feeding capillary legs. They commonly occur on the face or on the back of the hands and forearms.

Anyone can get spider veins or varicose veins, but women are twice as susceptible as men. The problem is also more common in people with jobs that keep them on their feet, including nurses and teachers. Other factors that may contribute include ageing, obesity, pregnancy, prior trauma or surgery to the leg and a genetic predisposition.

We can use one or more of our technologies to offer you a specific, targeted treatment plan.

Technologies we use:

Fractional Laser

We use a Fractional Laser to target deeper thread veins in the legs. Please note we do not treat varicose veins.

We use IPL to target thread/spider veins in the face. IPL heats and destroys the blood vessels, which will then get reabsorbed into the body.

This amazing versatile technology is non-invasive and helps with redness and the healing process.
