40% Glycolic Face Peel

A stand-alone Aesthetic Treatment with optional add-ons to personalise your treatment.

Frequency of application:

 

Varies according to the client’s needs

 

Intense Treatments: These can be weekly for 4 weeks or every 2 weeks.

Less Intense Treatments: Once every 4 weeks.

Maintenance: once every 12 weeks.

 

Protocol

Step 1: double cleanse

Step 2: The degreasing solution has been specially designed to remove sebum and deeply cleanse and disinfect the skin before a peel treatment. It effectively prepares the skin for the proper penetration of the active ingredients.

Step 3: Peel

Step 4: neutraliser

Step 5: serum/SPF

 

Contraindications/Medical Conditions:

Pregnancy & Breastfeeding

Skin Infections

Skin Allergies

Active Cold Sores

Skin cancer treatment within the last 2 years

Type 1 Diabetes

History of Anaphylactic Shock, low BP, fainting

Auto-immune Conditions like Lupus, HIV etc

Contraindications/Medication:

Roaccutane or Isotretinoin medication within the past 12 months

Prednisolone within the last week

Allergies to aspirin, salicylic acid

Contraindications/Treatments Lifestyle:

Sunburn or Very sensitive skin on the day of treatment

IPL Laser Treatment/Hair removal within the last 2 weeks

Fractional Laser within the last month

Electrolysis within the last week

Retinol/Vit A within the last week

Botox/fillers within the past 2 weeks

Swimming past 2 days

Sunbeds past 2 weeks

Intense exercise/walking in the wind or sun exposure before treatment

 

Aftercare:

Use SPF 50

Use hydrating skincare like Environ Capsules

Use gentle cleansers/moisturisers for around a week - no glycolic/AHA for a week (check toners)

Avoid saunas etc., straight after 

 

Depending on how the skin feels:

Introduce:

Retinol/Vit A after 3 days - if irritation occurs when applying your normal regime, continue to wait for 72h before commencing your normal routine.

Swimming in chlorinated water/hot tub/saunas after 5 days.

Sunbeds after 2 weeks.

Sunbathing after 7 days with SPF

IPL Hair Removal on face after 4 weeks

IPL Treatment (Vascular/Pigmentation) after 2 weeks

Facial waxing at least 7 days

Dermal fillers/botox for 2 weeks

You may experience light peeling for the first few days, and possible slight windburn sensation and/or blotchiness are normal for the first few days.

 

20% Mild Superficial Glycolic FACE Peel

This peel is mild enough to be used in combination with other treatments like IPL and Dermaplaning.

A 2-step treatment with Step 1 including Vit A, Lactobionic Acid, Salicylic Acid and Mandelic Acid applied under time control, which increases in increments.

 

Step 2 is the application of an Intense Hydrating & Soothing Treatment.

 

Frequency of application:

Can be discussed during the consultation

 

Intense treatment: 

One treatment a week for 6 weeks (Treatment Cycle)

Up to 2 cycles every 6 months

Maintenance Treatment every 8-12 weeks

 

Less Intense Treatment:

One treatment every 2-4 weeks for up to 6 treatments

Maintenance Treatment every 8-12 weeks

 

Ideal Aftercare:

  • Mild soothing gel after the treatment

  • Introduce retinol eye cream after 3 days if the skin can take it
