Aqualyx is a safe, effective and painless non-surgical treatment, from Marllor Biomedical, that reduces fat cells in targeted areas of the body. With just a few simple treatments, fat pockets can be broken down producing visible results within the first 2 treatments. Aqualyx is not suitable for obese or significantly overweight patients. This is NOT a weight loss treatment. Ruth has been trained directly by Dr. Arturo Almeida, Marllor's Medical Director and global trainer using a specific delivery method as recommended by Aqualyx. The ideal candidate for Aqualyx treatment will present stubborn pockets of fat which are unresponsive to normal metabolic actions (low-calorie diets and physical activity). Body Aqualyx can target the following Areas: Back fat - Bra back fat, Arm fat (bingo wing area) – an alternative to arm liposuction, Stomach fat and six-pack definition/six packs abs, Love handles, Flanks and waist, Inner and outer thighs, The area under the buttocks, Fat knees /fat above knees. What does having Aqualyx® body fat dissolving injections involve? You will have a 30min consultation with Ruth, to confirm suitability and the number of vials you would need. Eg lower stomach would need 2 vials/session. Consultation fee is redeemable against a clinic treatment. If you are deemed suitable for treatment and wish to go ahead then treatment can be performed on the same day as consultation or book a future appointment. On the day of treatment, the area to be treated is marked out. Aqualyx® solution is mixed with lidocaine (an anaesthetic) before injection. This ensures that the treatment is more comfortable. A small number of injections using specialised lipoinject needles are administered to ensure the area of fat to be removed is fully covered. What to expect: You will experience swelling /discolouration of the skin and tenderness, on most occasions you will have some bruising. The area will feel tender for 7- 10 days and appear swollen for this time. You will require 2 or 3 treatments, with improvement normally becoming visible after the second treatment. Larger areas or larger fat pockets may require more treatments. Aqualyx is a compound made from the deoxycholate family of acids. The acid present in Aqualyx is already a naturally occurring acid within the human body that has an essential function to cause fat destruction in the body.
